Dr. Ginny Hsu is an orthodontist-Scientist. She hold primary appointment as an Assistant Professor at Department of Orthodontics in School of Dentistry and joint appointment at Department of Biomedical Engineering in the School of Medicine. Her research aims to study the osteo-progenitor cells characterization and identify and utilize these progenitor cells in tissue regeneration.
Dr. Hsu earned her dental degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, obtained Master’s Degree in Oral Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She finished Orthodontic Residency training at New York University (NYU) and returned to research as Postdoctoral Fellow in bone pathology at Dr. Aaron James’ laboratory at Johns Hopkins University (JHU), School of Medicine to push her research envelope.
Besides research, Dr. Hsu enjoys spending time with residents by sharing her knowledge in orthodontics and basic science. Dr. Hsu also practices orthodontics at OHSU faculty dental practice.
